J'ai un fichier CSV contenant une matrice numérique avec plus de deux mille valeurs cotées à la Bourse de New York sur deux ans.Matrice numérique CSV -> Matrice de covariance

Il semble que ce devrait être très simple - je veux atteindre une matrice de covariance formée à partir de la matrice CSV.

Pour autant que je suis conscient que je besoin simplement:

  1. importer les données comme matrice numérique (uniquement les données non-têtes, etc.) à l'aide du bouton Matlab Import Data.
  2. Appuyez sur save as sur la variable de l'espace de travail et effectuez, par ex. NYSE.mat.
  3. Dans ma fonction appel cov (NYSE.mat);

Ceci devrait accéder à la matrice et retourner une grande matrice de covariance à partir de mes données. La fonction fonctionne cov() quand i un exemple de matrice par exemple entrée manuellement:

Mais pour une raison chaque fois que je tente d'appeler cov (NYSE.mat); un seul nombre est renvoyé, plutôt qu'une matrice de covariance. Est-ce que quelqu'un peut me dire où je me trompe? J'ai essayé de comprendre cela depuis un moment et je pense que la réponse devrait être très simple.

Pas sûr que vous devez enregistrer manuellement le nom de l'espace de travail à l'étape 2. Dans le cadre de votre processus d'importation vous une fois que vous cliquez sur le bouton d'importation la variable doit être chargée dans l'espace de travail avec le nom du fichier (peut-être NYSE)

Essayez Load('NYSE.mat') et voyez ce qui apparaît dans votre espace de travail.

Une fois que vous avez trouvé le nom de la variable, appelez la fonction avec cela.

Si votre fichier CSV est sans lignes d'en-tête (pas sûr si un fichier CSV en a besoin) et contient des chiffres, vous pouvez simplement appeler

x = importdata('<nameofyourcsv>.csv'); 

puis

c = cov(x);

ou même le faire en une seule étape:

c = cov(importdata('nameofcsv.csv')); 

La fonction est équivalente à un clic sur le bouton que vous mentionnez. Toutefois, si votre fichier contient des lignes d'en-tête, vous devez spécifier son numéro et appeler cette fonction avec plusieurs paramètres:

x = importdata('nameofcsv.csv',',', nh); % nh is a number of header lines 

x ne sera plus une matrice Matlab régulière, mais une structure avec des champs suivants: data, textdata, et colheaders. cov(x.data) calculera la covariance. Je ne sais pas pourquoi vous auriez besoin d'enregistrer quoi que ce soit dans un fichier mat, cependant.Si vous le souhaitez, vous devrez probablement attribuer une valeur d'un champ data à une variable régulière, puis enregistrer cette variable.
