liaison avec libavcodec, toujours voir des références non définies

Je suis en train de compiler un exemple libavcodec. Je reçois l'erreur suivante:

Comme vous pouvez le voir, je suis la liaison avec libavcodec mais toujours obtenir des références non définies. Y a-t-il autre chose que je dois lier pour obtenir ces symboles définis?

J'ai demandé sur IRC, et la réponse était d'appliquer extern "C". J'ai changé ceci:

#include <libavcodec/avcodec.h> 

à ceci:

extern "C" { 
    #include <libavcodec/avcodec.h> 
} 

dans le fichier source, et maintenant il compile sans erreur.
