Oui c'est via la nouvelle propriété step-function easing curves. Utilisez "step-start" ou "step-end" pour que la transition se fasse instantanément au début ou à la fin de la période spécifiée en transition-duration.
Vous pouvez également avoir plusieurs étapes: "steps (N, start | end])" qui aura la transition se produire dans des étapes équidistantes.
AFAIK cela est seulement pris en charge dans Chrome à ce jour.
