Je voudrais savoir s'il était possible, en Java, pour déclencher un événement lorsqu'une application externe modifie le contenu d'un fichier texte donné

Je suis juste essayer de programmer un petit logiciel qui synchronise automatiquement un fichier local vers un serveur FTP distant

Extrayez le fichier zip, placez .dll/.so en fonction de la plate-forme dans votre chemin d'accès lib. et créez une classe fournissez jnotify-0.93.jar dans le chemin de classe.

Non, vous aurez besoin de suivre vous-même sur une base continue, soit en vérifiant la date a été modifié le fichier ou faire un hachage du contenu (checksum, etc). En général, il n'y a pas de retour Java générique piloté par les événements du sous-jacent sous-jacent, donc s'il y a un support additionnel possible, cela dépendra de l'O/S.

Toutes les bibliothèques de Java qui prennent en charge ceci le font essentiellement seules.

En outre, il est bon de savoir que Java 7 a le WatchService API:
